On December 19, 2012, Ramona Foreman, a 48-year-old grandmother and beloved member of the Oakland community, was killed in a drive-by shooting. The incident occurred while Ramona was walking near her home on International Boulevard in Oakland, California. She was hit by a stray bullet during a shootout between two unidentified individuals. Family members reported that the violence was completely unprovoked, and Ramona was merely an innocent bystander caught in the crossfire.
