On February 3, 2013, Roberto Briseno, 33, was fatally shot in Fresno, California, in what was described as a senseless act of violence. Briseno was attempting to stop a crime when he encountered a group of suspects breaking into a neighbor's car. During the incident, Briseno managed to pull one of the men out of the vehicle, leading to a physical altercation.
