On June 21, 2016, 20-month-old Rashad Halford Jr. was tragically killed in a shooting outside the Canyon Crest Apartments in southeast Fresno, California. He was sitting with his parents and other family friends when an assailant opened fire. The shooting was reportedly an act of retaliation targeting Rashad’s father, Rashad Halford Sr., who was also injured during the attack, along with another man.
