In the summer of 2015, a night out in Detroit's Greektown neighborhood ended in tragedy for 18-year-old Martel Taylor. In the early hours of June 21st, a dispute erupted in an alley off Monroe Street, escalating quickly and violently. During the altercation, shots were fired, striking Taylor and another 21-year-old man who was with him. Both men were rushed to a local hospital, but Taylor succumbed to his injuries.
