In a tragic event on Detroit's east side, a 26-year-old man, Patrick Jones, was killed in what authorities believe to be a domestic violence-related incident. The shooting occurred on December 22, 2022, when police were called to a residence around 10:45 a.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered Jones in an upstairs bedroom with fatal gunshot wounds to his right arm and armpit; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
