On March 28, 2013, 19-year-old Sidney Jr. Wallace was shot and killed in Long Beach, California. The incident occurred when Wallace was standing in a parking lot adjacent to an apartment complex on the 200 block of East Hill Street, along with two other individuals. Suddenly, unknown assailants opened fire on the group, fatally striking Wallace while the others escaped unharmed.
