Felix Avelar Duran, age 51, was the owner of a mini-market in Long Beach, California, and was shot during a robbery on March 24, 2014. The incident occurred at approximately 7:50 p.m. at the store located near 7th Street and Cerritos Avenue. Duran was critically wounded in the upper torso and remained hospitalized on life support until his death on May 19, 2015.
