On the evening of September 14, 2012, violence struck a residential neighborhood in Detroit, Michigan, claiming the life of a 34-year-old Black male named Bryant Felder. The incident occurred in the 7000 block of Chalfonte Avenue, near the intersection with Santa Rosa Drive, an area situated on the city's northwest side. Police were summoned to the scene where they discovered the victim, who was initially recorded as an unidentified John Doe before positive identification could be made.
