In the summer of 2006, a grim discovery was made in an abandoned house on the east side of Detroit. The remains of a woman, who would remain nameless for nearly two decades, were found. Investigators determined she was a Black female, likely in her late 40s, and that her life had been taken from her in a violent act, ruling her death a homicide.
