In the late hours of a summer night in Detroit, Michigan, the life of 33-year-old Andre Thomas came to a tragic and unexpected end. On Thursday, June 27, 2019, Thomas was at the Irma Henderson Marina, where he had been attending a late-night concert with friends. The evening took a horrifying turn when, a little after midnight, he fell into the Detroit River.
