On July 12, 2008, 18-year-old Kelvin Lara was fatally shot in Roxbury, Boston. The incident occurred at around 2:19 a.m. on Whittier Street. Lara was shot multiple times and was transported to Boston Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead. Despite being a young man with no known ties to gang activity, his death was linked to local territorial disputes.
