On a cold winter evening in Boston, the life of Nicholas Trevon Bufford, a 31-year-old African-American man, was tragically cut short. On January 4, 2011, police responded to a report of a person shot at 614 Blue Hill Avenue. Upon arrival, they found Bufford suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced deceased at the scene, and his death was later ruled a homicide by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
