On the night of August 31, 2011, Anthony Worrell, a 28-year-old African-American man from Roxbury, was fatally shot in Charlestown. The incident occurred at approximately 10:46 p.m. within the Bunker Hill Housing Development. Officers responding to reports of a person shot found Worrell being attended to by emergency medical technicians. He was suffering from life-threatening injuries and was rushed to Massachusetts General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
