On a late summer evening in Baltimore, on September 6, 2008, the life of a young Black man, 23-year-old Andre Harris, was tragically cut short. In a city grappling with persistent gun violence, his death was one of 234 homicides that year, a number that, while the lowest in two decades, still spoke to the ongoing challenges faced by the community.
