Karen Angela Ferrell, aged 42, was murdered on December 18, 2010, in Baltimore, Maryland. She was found dead in her home, beaten and left under the basement steps, wrapped in plastic. At the time of her death, Karen was babysitting her 7-year-old grandchild and a 1-year-old cousin, making the crime particularly shocking to her family and community.
