On December 31, 2013, Donald Eason Jr., a 22-year-old man, was shot and killed in Baltimore, Maryland. The incident took place in the 100 block of West Hamburg Street. Eason, who was also known by the nickname "Petey," was a victim of gun violence, adding to the city’s year-end total of 235 homicides, which reflected the ongoing issues of violence plaguing Baltimore during that period.
