On a spring evening in Baltimore, Maryland, the life of 46-year-old Dietrich Fitts was brought to a violent and tragic end. On May 6, 2014, Fitts, an African-American man who worked as a substitute teacher, was discovered shot inside his vehicle. The grim finding was made near the Dutch Village apartments, located on Wellbridge Drive, a scene that would become the focal point of a complex and frustrating investigation.
