Damaud Martin, a 10-year-old boy from Baltimore, Maryland, died on October 9, 2014, under tragic circumstances that pointed to long-term abuse and systemic failures. Damaud had been living in a foster care facility run by LifeLine Inc. in Laurel, Maryland, where he experienced neglect and poor conditions. In July 2014, he suffered cardiac arrest, which led to his death.
