Nathaniel Powell Jr., aged 51, was shot and killed on December 29, 2015, in Suitland, Maryland. The incident occurred in the early hours, with officers responding to a call at around 5:50 a.m. Powell was found in a parking lot on the 2300 block of Brooks Drive, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
