On December 9, 2015, 17-year-old Miguel Alvarez was shot and killed in San Francisco. The incident took place in the early morning hours on Holladay Avenue, just outside the Mission District. Alvarez's friends rushed him to San Francisco General Hospital, but he later died from multiple gunshot wounds to the torso.
