A boy's body is found buried behind a residence in Maine
On August 13, 1976, 15-year-old Chester Carruthers was reported missing by his mother in Harrison, Maine. He had been missing for two weeks at the time of the report. Almost five years later, on May 13, 1981, his remains were discovered by a neighbor’s dog, which returned home carrying part of a skull. Chester's body, which had been left in the woods just a quarter mile from his home, had been shot once in the head shortly after his disappearance.
