Two men reported missing were found murdered
In August 1997, the bodies of Joseph Savitch and Louis Alexander were discovered buried in a shallow grave in a wooded area near Masardis, Maine. Both men had been missing since 1994 and were found to have been shot to death. The two victims, both from Massachusetts, had a history of criminal activity and were believed to have been involved in a string of burglaries in Aroostook County.
