In the afternoon hours of a Wednesday in the St. Claude neighborhood of New Orleans, the life of 23-year-old Calvinton 'Minkie' Wallace was tragically cut short. On that day, Wallace and another man, who was believed to be in his twenties, were found shot multiple times in the 1300 block of France Street. Their bodies lay in front of separate houses, a stark and brutal scene that left the community in shock.
The New Orleans police were called to the scene at approximately 2:41 p.m.
At the time of the initial investigation, authorities reported that they had not yet determined a motive for the double homicide and had not identified any suspects.
