On May 16, 2012, Miguel Mayen, age 35, was killed in a tragic incident during a shooting at a child's birthday party in New Orleans, Louisiana. Three gunmen opened fire at the event, leading to Mayen's death. The incident left the community in shock, as such violence occurred amidst children and families.
