In the summer of 2014, a quiet evening in a Baton Rouge neighborhood was shattered by violence, leading to the death of 21-year-old Travis Polk. On the night of Friday, July 25th, police were called to a home in the 4100 block of Mission Drive, where they found Polk sitting in a lawn chair in the front yard, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was rushed to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries the following day.
