On February 26, 2007, Asia Marie Davis, a 22-year-old African American woman, was tragically murdered in her home located in the Mars Hill neighborhood on the southwest side of Indianapolis, Indiana. Her husband discovered the crime scene upon returning home that evening. He found Asia Davis fatally shot and their 17-month-old daughter, Sarah London, injured by a bullet fragment to her head. The child had been wounded and left unattended for approximately 17 hours before being found.
