On the night of November 25, 2009, a violent home invasion took place in the Eagledale neighborhood on the northwest side of Indianapolis, Indiana, claiming the life of a young resident. The victim was identified as Gabriel Rivas, a 25-year-old Hispanic male who lived in the 4900 block of Lagora Lane. He was at his residence when the incident occurred, a location near the intersection of 34th Street and Georgetown Road.
