Hi everyone, I’ve been reading up on the Hamilton Avenue murders and feel so troubled by the thought of what those poor children went through. Imagining David and Alberto Jr. in that terrifying situation just breaks my heart. They were so young and deserved nothing but happiness and safety. I've read some articles indicating that they were close-knit, always playing outside together. I just can't get over the senselessness of it all. My thoughts are with their families and friends who must relive this pain every day. It's a stark reminder of how precious and fragile life is. If there’s anything positive that can come from remembering this tragedy, I hope it’s the push for stronger community bonds and support systems. Stay safe, everyone. ?

I've been thinking a lot about the heartbreaking impact these cases have on the families left behind, especially the Covarrubias children who were part of this tragedy. It's unfathomable to imagine the lives cut short, especially for the little ones who barely began theirs. As a parent myself, I can't help but feel deeply for the loved ones who must navigate their lives with this immense loss. The details of a crime like this might be overwhelming, but the focus should also remain on the support these families will need long-term. Has anyone come across initiatives or community efforts set up in their memory or to assist the surviving family members? It’s important we remember and honor the victims, like Alberto Covarrubias and his family, by fostering a supportive community in the aftermath of such senseless violence.

I keep thinking about the courage it must have taken for the officers and evidence technicians who arrived at the scene that night. I've read a lot about the Hamilton Avenue murders, and every detail still sends shivers down my spine, but I can't imagine what it was like for those first responders. Walking into that house, not knowing what they were about to find, or maybe having a sense but still hoping for something different. It must have been so difficult, especially with children involved. I've heard that some of the officers needed counseling after what they witnessed, which is completely understandable. They have such a tough job, and in this case, it must have been unbearable. My heart goes out to them too. It’s a painful reminder of the impact violence can have, not only on the families directly involved but also on all those who are part of the wider circle trying to bring justice. They deserve our support and appreciation.
