I was reading about Raymond Korb's tragic case and can't stop thinking about how his father, Bob, must feel. To be so close yet unable to intervene and help his son during the standoff is unimaginable. It's evident that Bob believed he could have reasoned with Raymond and perhaps found a way to calm the situation. I wonder why law enforcement couldn’t allow a family member to assist in such a critical moment. It’s understandable they followed protocol for everyone's safety, but maybe there’s a way to evolve strategies involving loved ones, especially in mental health crises. My thoughts go out to the entire family. They must carry an enormous burden, and I hope they find solace.
