Hi everyone,
I recently came across Shasta Horston's case, and I can't stop thinking about little Javion, who was in the house at the time of her tragic death. It's unimaginable the trauma this poor child must have faced, and my heart goes out to him and his family. I keep wondering how they are coping and whether they've been able to access supportive services for Javion to help him process such a devastating experience at such a young age.
I can't even fathom how confusing this must be for him, and it's deeply saddening to think how this is going to shape his view of the world as he grows up, without his mom. Especially when he's old enough to grasp the full extent of what happened. I truly hope he's surrounded by people who can give him some semblance of normalcy and love, and I wish there was more our community could do to support families like Shasta's who have had their lives shattered by violence.

Does anyone else feel like there was so much love and potential in Shasta Horston's life that was just cruelly cut short? I’ve been reading more about her background, and it’s clear she was truly cherished by her community. She worked hard, getting her degree from Regency Cosmetology School earlier that year and already building her career at Fiesta Beauty Salon. You could just tell she was on such a positive path.
I can’t get past the fact that Javion was right there in the house when it all happened. As a parent, it’s heartbreaking to imagine the impact on that little boy. It makes me wonder about the true circumstances of that night and what witnesses might have seen or heard.
The focus on finding Tonell Williams is crucial, but in reading about the case online, I didn’t come across much about him besides being a 'person of interest.' Has anyone come across any additional info about his connection to Shasta? Hoping justice finds its course for Javion and everyone who loved her.
