I’ve been thinking a lot about what Ward Edwards’ family must be going through. It’s such a difficult time when something so sudden and tragic occurs. From everything I’ve read, he seemed like a dedicated manager and valued member of the Cummins community. I can’t even begin to imagine the pain his loved ones are experiencing with both the loss and the circumstances. I’ve also been thinking about the impact on his colleagues who witnessed or learned of the event. Being in the same space where tragedy struck must be so challenging for them emotionally. The environment in a workplace is supposed to be mundane, safe, even boring at times, but when something like this happens, it shakes the foundation of that belief. I truly hope the company is providing ample support to help everyone process and heal as best as they can. It’s a grim reminder of how crucial mental health awareness and support are, especially in high-stress work environments. My heart goes out to Ward’s family, friends, and coworkers.
