I find myself constantly thinking about those poor kids who were in the house during this awful event. I can't even begin to imagine the trauma they must be going through, having experienced something so unimaginable. At 9, 11, 13, and 17, they’ve lost both parents in one devastating night. While it's a small relief to know they weren't physically harmed, the emotional and psychological impact will likely be profound and long-lasting. It’s encouraging to hear they're with family members who can hopefully provide some stability and comfort, but they’ll need so much more than that—counseling, love, support, and understanding as they try to process everything. My heart truly goes out to them, and I hope they find healing in whatever form it can come. Let's all continue to advocate for awareness and intervention in domestic violence situations to prevent such tragedies in the future.
