I can't stop thinking about the role social media plays in cases like Zachary Pettis's. It’s baffling and frustrating how an event with potentially countless smartphone recordings can go unsolved for so long. I've read that Zachary's family, with all their heartache, has been utilizing social media to try and reach anyone who might have caught something on video that night—a glimpse of the car, the shooter, anything. It's worth noting that in some previous cases, crucial breakthroughs have come from unexpected sources, even months or years later. With the reward offered and increasing spotlight, I really hope someone checks their archived footage or realizes they might know who was involved. Zachary and his family deserve answers. To anyone who was there or might have heard something, even if it seems small, please consider sharing it with the investigators. Let’s hope justice is just around the corner.
