I was thinking about how often we go through certain intersections without even realizing the history tied to them. The corner of Fourth and Market in Clarksville now feels so much more significant knowing what happened there. It's such a poignant reminder of the bravery and risks our officers take every day. No amount of tribute can ever compensate for the loss of Officer Lawson, but dedicating that section of road seems like a meaningful way to keep his memory alive. It's nice to see the community come together to honor his legacy—I can't imagine how his family must feel, knowing so many still remember and respect his sacrifice. It just goes to show that even decades later, the impact of such a tragedy ripples through time.
