I've been following the tragic case of John Conroy Jr.'s death pretty closely, and something that's really stuck with me is the environment that Bailey Doggett was growing up in. It must have been incredibly difficult for a 15-year-old to decide to take such drastic action. I can't even imagine the pressure he was under at that moment, feeling like he had to protect his mom. It raises so many questions about how we approach domestic situations and the impact they can have on children—especially when mental illness is involved. I truly feel for both families and hope they find some peace in all this. It seems like an impossible situation all around. Does anyone have thoughts on how cases like this could be better handled in terms of providing support to families dealing with mental health issues or domestic violence? It seems like a piece of the puzzle that's often overlooked until it's too late.
