I've been thinking a lot about Lori Ann Harmon Leath and how often we underestimate the hidden struggles in people's lives. It's so hard to comprehend how someone who brought so much joy as a dental hygienist and a kind soul in her community could be taken in such a devastating way. I feel for Lori's parents, Robert and Debra. Losing a child just before Christmas must be unimaginable. Even though there weren't recent warning signs, it seems like this tragedy might have found its roots in something deeper. The charge back in May 2018 makes me wonder if there were unresolved issues that got overlooked. This is a reminder of how important it is to check in on those we care about, even when everything seems fine on the surface. To Lori's family and friends, I'm sending love and strength your way. I hope you're finding peace in the memories of the happiness Lori spread.
