Hey everyone, I was just reading up on the Russell Gulino case and something struck me that I hadn't considered before. Given the remote location of Akutan Bay, I'm curious about how his disappearance was first reported and how quickly the search efforts were mobilized back in 1970. From what I understand, communication and transportation in those areas could be pretty challenging back then. Does anyone know if there were any delays because of this isolation? I'm wondering if that might have impacted the early days of the investigation. It's such a tough environment up there; I'd imagine just getting people together quickly to start searching would have been a massive effort. Any insights or thoughts on how these logistical challenges might have played a role here?
