Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about the community impact of Abel Macedo's tragic death. It's so important for us to recognize how deeply these incidents affect not just the victim's family, but the entire neighborhood. Uptown has always been a place with so much potential, yet stories like Abel's remind us of the ongoing issues residents face daily. I wonder if there are any local initiatives people know of aiming to bridge that gap and bring positive change. In the wake of Abel's death, it seems like these efforts are more crucial than ever. Sometimes it feels like we only hear about the violence and not the incredible work people are doing to try and counter it. If anyone has information or knows how we can support such efforts, please share. It’s devastating to think that these systemic challenges continue to claim lives, and I hope that by focusing on community healing and prevention, Abel’s story isn't lost in the statistics.
