I keep thinking about how Shakti's backpack was found during the search. If it was recovered, what else could be nearby? Backpacks usually have essential supplies and sometimes personal items that might give clues about a person's last steps. Was there a map, a journal, perhaps something that got washed up nearby? It seems like there could be more to discover if the area is searched thoroughly. Plus, technology has advanced so much since 1995. Maybe it's worth looking into using newer methods or even reopening the search with some advanced tech tools—even drones or something more targeted like sonar. Anyone heard of similar cases where lost items helped zero in on a missing person's last known location?
I’ve been fascinated with the case of Shakti, who went missing in 1995 after being swept downstream on the Lethe River. I haven't been able to find much about how the search was conducted back then. Does anyone know if they used any specialized equipment or methods for these types of searches in the 90s? I'm curious because it might provide insight into why only her backpack was found and not more evidence of what might have happened. Also, with the rugged terrain and harsh conditions of the Valley of 10,000 Smokes, I wonder how the search teams navigated such an intense environment. Any insights or similar cases from that era?
