Does anyone else find it intriguing how quickly Dr. Frank Hardy reacted during the robbery? I mean, to hear a commotion from your dental office and have the presence of mind to grab a rifle and act like that is just incredible. Not only does it speak volumes about his bravery, but it also shows the type of community spirit people had back then. It's such a shame that despite his efforts to stop the crime, it still resulted in the tragic loss of John Henry Porter's life. My thoughts are with Porter's family and friends who suffered a terrible loss that day. It’s heartbreaking how a robbery could just turn a regular day into a tragedy. Dr. Hardy must have felt a heavy burden knowing he was trying to help but couldn't prevent the innocent loss of life in the end. What a difficult situation to grapple with for everyone involved.
