I've been following the tragic case of Alex Minor, Jr., and I just can't stop thinking about the terrifying experience his girlfriend and those innocent children must have gone through. It's shocking enough that Alex was targeted like that, but the fact that the gunmen didn't hesitate to go after others is really disturbing. I'm relieved to hear she and the kids weren't harmed physically, but I can't imagine the emotional trauma they're dealing with now. River Rouge and Ecorse are tight-knit communities, and it's just sad that something like this can happen so close to home. I've been reading comments from residents, and there's a mix of fear and frustration. People are wondering why it seems so difficult to get these cases solved and why gun violence continues to surge. I hope the authorities can piece together what they need to catch those responsible. My thoughts are with Alex’s friends and family; no one should have to endure such senseless violence.
