Has anyone else been following the sentencing of Darrell Dean Dakan? I've been thinking about how Joshua Dakan's friends must be feeling. A 38-year-old, taken so suddenly and senselessly. I can't imagine what they're going through right now, knowing someone they cared about was lost over an argument that spiraled out of control. It's just such a painful reminder that we never know what people are dealing with behind closed doors. A simple disagreement over something like a cable shouldn't end this tragically. I'm hoping those who were close to Joshua find some measure of peace as they move forward. If anyone hears about any initiatives or support groups set up in his memory, please share—keeping his spirit alive through positive actions could be a small step toward healing for those who loved him.
