It's so chilling to think about the bravery of Flossie Bray during such a terrifying ordeal. Despite everything happening around her, she endured a brutal attack and still showed so much strength and resilience. As a mother, it must have been utterly devastating to witness such violence at the hands of her own son. On top of dealing with her own injuries, she also lost her husband and the young woman, Zlayiah, who had become a part of their family. It’s unimaginable what Flossie and their loved ones are going through in the aftermath of this tragedy. This case is just another reminder of how crucial it is for the justice system to take domestic violence seriously. Releasing someone like Welch, even with a GPS tether, seems like such a massive failure. While the legal proceedings may be over, the impact of that day will forever linger in the hearts of the families and the Harper Woods community. My thoughts are with Flossie as she recovers, and I hope she is surrounded by as much love and support as possible.

Has anyone else been thinking about the role of the bail system in cases like Zlayiah Frazer's? It's just so hard to understand how someone with such a violent past could have been released so easily. I know the legal system has its rules, but what about the safety of potential victims? Seeing Welch released on a $100,000 bond only to commit such horrific acts really makes me question how bail amounts are determined. It’s so extremely frustrating to see this sort of thing happen when it seems like it could have been preventable. I can't imagine the pain Zlayiah’s family must be feeling, knowing how the system failed her. Does anyone know if this case has led to any real changes in bail policies or domestic violence protection in Michigan?

Hey everyone, I just can't stop thinking about the night of that standoff on Kenosha Street. It's so chilling to imagine what Zlayiah Frazer and Robert Bray Jr. went through inside that house. The fact that Welch could drop his son out of a window to safety but didn't spare any thought for them is just so incredibly sad. It must have been terrifying for neighbors witnessing the events unfold. Knowing that Zlayiah had already been through so much suffering in June makes it even more tragic. It also makes me question how someone like Welch could've been released on bond with such serious charges hanging over him. I feel like we really need to reevaluate how these decisions are made. My heart goes out to Zlayiah's and Robert's families, and I hope they find some peace amidst this nightmare. Would love to hear what others think about these bail policies and what changes could help prevent such tragedies in the future.
