I'm really worried about the lack of progress in Richard Hasbell's case. I can't stop thinking about how the officials realized something was off only after the fatal plane accident led them to check backcountry records. It's baffling to me that they don't do regular checks on people leaving the park. It feels like such a missed opportunity for early intervention. And that journal they found—I wonder what's in it? The fact that the last entry was dated just a day before he was supposed to return is haunting. What was on his mind on that day? Maybe there are clues there that could point to where he might have gone or what state of mind he was in. It's frustrating when vital pieces of info are out there yet seem just out of reach. Hoping they find something soon.
