Has anyone else been thinking about the haunting proximity of where Deante and Olayinka's bodies were found to the railroad tracks? It makes me wonder if there's some kind of symbolism or message behind where they were left. It’s a chilling, lonely place that just adds another layer of sorrow to this already tragic situation. My heart truly goes out to their families, who now have this incredible burden of loss to bear. I keep thinking about the party they attended the night before — were they just in the wrong place at the wrong time, or was there something more sinister at play? The violence in Chicago during that period was so pervasive, and knowing that these young lives were cut short is just so devastating. It’s important we don’t forget them and continue to advocate for change in these neighborhoods. Sending love and strength to Deante and Olayinka’s loved ones.
