I can't stop thinking about the impact this tragedy had on Mercedes’ friends and classmates at Magee High School. Losing someone so young and vibrant must have been incredibly difficult for them. She was on the verge of graduating, with her whole life ahead of her. To have that ripped away in such a brutal manner is unfathomable. I came across a recent post from one of her classmates reminiscing about how Mercedes always lit up the room with her energy and confidence. It's so important to remember the positive effect she had on those around her. Does anyone know if the school did anything, like a memorial or event, to honor her memory? I hope her friends and family can find some peace knowing how loved and missed she truly is. Sending strength to everyone involved.
