I’ve been following the case of Dale going overboard from the F/V Miss Molly, and something that strikes me is the timing. Has anyone else considered the tidal patterns at that specific time? False Pass has notoriously strong currents, and if he went over at peak flow, could it have pulled him out to sea more quickly than usual? I wonder if the search efforts considered these variables closely enough. It just feels like understanding the exact circumstances of the water flow that day could potentially provide some new insights. Thoughts?
