Has anyone else been thinking about the implications of Marvin Watson's previous legal issues on this case? It gets me every time, thinking how someone with a history involving a hung jury and a manslaughter conviction could find himself in a position to hurt Meghan and LaFrederick so tragically. It feels like such a heavy failure in the justice system. Why wasn't there more done to keep him from becoming a repeat offender? I can’t even begin to imagine how Jesse Anderson and the rest of their loved ones must be feeling right now. To lose not just a daughter, but a grandchild in such a violent way is unimaginable. I'm really hoping that cases like this emphasize the need for reforms that truly protect families from the cycle of domestic violence. My thoughts are with all who knew and loved Meghan and LaFrederick, and I hope they find some measure of peace eventually.
