Has anyone else looked into the background of the neighborhood where Larry T. Lee was killed? It's really distressing how much the West and South sides of Chicago suffered during 2011. I came across some statistics showing how severe the situation was, especially for communities dealing with poverty and lack of opportunities. I feel for Larry's family and for all the families impacted by the violence that year. It seems like efforts from law enforcement and community groups were dwarfed by the sheer scale of the problem. I wonder if there have been any success stories since then in reducing violence through community programs or other initiatives? It's tough to read about these cases, but hopefully, there have been some positive changes since 2011.
