Did anyone else catch the part about Kirby's safe and locks being changed? That just hit me hard. I mean, the man hadn't even been found yet, and there's someone moving in on his belongings. It’s unsettling to think about how calculated it all seems. Kirby’s mom, Mattie Jones, mentioned those suspicions, and I can’t even begin to imagine how much she's been through. It's one thing to face a sudden loss, but to realize there might have been betrayal from someone so close? That's a different kind of pain. What really gets me is the alleged motive – his assets, the gold and silver. It's like something out of a movie, only it's tragically real. Sending love to Kirby’s family and hoping they find some comfort with the arrests.

Hey everyone, I've been following the Kirby Carpenter case and something has been bothering me ever since the arrests were made. Why was it that Kirby’s body wasn’t discovered until days after the crime? Given that this happened in a relatively close-knit community, you’d think someone would have noticed sooner. It’s incredibly unsettling to think how alone he must have been at that time. This delay must have added so much more anguish for his family, especially his mom, Mattie. It’s so important for communities to stay vigilant, but sometimes things just slip through the cracks. I just can’t stop thinking about what those days must have been like for his children, not knowing what happened to their dad. It’s just so incredibly sad. I hope with the legal proceedings, the family can start to find some peace, although it’ll never be enough to bring Kirby back. What do you guys think about this aspect of the case?
